"On March 12 and 13 a number of chapter members went on our first overnight field trip. We stayed in west Vero Beach and met for dinner on Friday evening. Early Saturday morning we drove over to Blue Cypress Lake where there were over one hundred osprey nests. We had two pontoon boats (with a maximum of six people per boat) take us out for a couple of hours on the lake. We were able to shoot either standing up or sitting down. Our terrific guides took us around many of the nests, and I believe all of us were able to get some pretty nice images of the ospreys (we also saw a peregrine falcon)." By Michael Rosenbaum, PPSA
