Everglades Chapter Program

Saturday, January 21 New Location

 Christina's on the Green
at the Deerfield Country Club

We are very excited to have two top-notch presenters.  First up will be Chuck Pine, presenting on processing images in Adobe RAW, and here is what Chuck says about his program:
"Many of us use Adobe's Camera Raw (or Lightroom) to process our RAW files from our cameras. Unfortunately, most of us use only the first panel that opens up in these programs‚--the Basic Panel. But, and this is a big but, there is so much more in Camera Raw and Lightroom's Develop Module. In this presentation, we will explore some of the other panels and learn what hidden treasures they hold."
Chuck has taught photography at the Teachers' College of Columbia University in New York; New York Institute of Photography (correspondence school); West Side YMCA; the United Nations; the NYC Board of Education; the Metropolitan Camera Club Council; Park West Camera Club.  He has been affiliated with many camera clubs and photographic societies in New York as well as in South Florida.

Her first program in the morning will be images from a recent Alaskan adventure--in search of bears and puffins.  What Fabiola brings to these images will both excite and astound you.  After lunch she will do a program on using texture and overlays for artistic images.  Fabiola has had numerous articles published in the PSA Journal and a couple have focused on her mastery of creative skills; we believe you will come away from this program with some great ideas.

Our second presenter is Fabiola Forns, a world-renowned nature and creative photographer who has taught photography for many years locally at Miami-Dade College.  Fabiola won the Windland Smith Rice Award for Bird photography in 2007 and had her work exhibited at the Smithsonian Institute.  She has also won awards with other nature-based associations.  She has traveled extensively, leading tours for photographers for many years.
